At this year's NEXT conference, I had the opportunity on two different evenings to engage my friends Kevin DeYoung and Matt Chandler in a personal and informative conversation. Each conversation lasted about 45 minutes and we were able to cover a variety of topics, including:
- How they were converted
- The priority of the local church
- The connection between reading and growing in Christian maturity
- Trusting God when you’re told you have brain cancer
- The relationship between the gospel and our holiness
- Sports (of course!)
- What a biblical friend looks like
- How we can pray for these men as they serve their churches
