We’re grateful for the opportunity that blog commenting gives us to hear feedback from members of Sovereign Grace churches and others. By inviting comments, we hope to have meaningful interaction with readers about the topics discussed in our blog posts. That being said, we do review all comments before posting them.
Some comments are also held in moderation for a while until we can respond with the right information. We want those reading the comments to see more than a list of questions—we want them to find answers too. So often we’ll wait to post a reader’s question until we can also post a corresponding answer along with it.
Comments that don't get posted typically fall in one of these categories:
- Off topic: We want to get as much feedback as possible on the topics and clarity of our blog entries. That is extremely valuable to us. If you have feedback on something unrelated to our blog entries, we want to hear that too but ask that you use the Contact Us form instead.
- Not for us: We encourage you to share constructive criticism for our organization, and we’ll do our best to respond to your concerns directly. If you have criticism for a person or one of our churches, consider contacting them directly. We do not have any expectation that others will monitor this blog and respond to comments involving them, so in most cases this blog simply isn’t an effective vehicle for giving them constructive criticism. You can find contact information for all of our churches in our church directory. (cf. Matthew 18:15)
- Uncharitable/Unsubstantiated: We don't mind posting legitimate pushback and criticism, but we won't publish (and thus foster debates about) comments that are ungracious or based on misinformation. (cf.Ephesians 4:29)
