Church planting is the centerpiece of our strategy to advance the Great Commission, so we're very excited that in the coming year we get to partner with pastors and church members in Sovereign Grace Ministries to start several new churches.
You may already be aware that Mike Seaver is leading a church plant in the Charleston, South Carolina, area this year. We interviewed Mike in October about his plans and the story behind the church.
In the coming months, we will share more about these upcoming churches too:
- Charlottesville, Virginia, led by Keith Breault
- Dayton, Ohio, led by John Butler
- Durham, North Carolina, led by Eric Holter
In the meantime, would you join us in praying for these endeavors? The churches will need to find meeting locations, the teams will need to deal with the financial and logistical aspects of moving, and of course relationships will need to be forged with the communities the churches are joining.
Getting involved
If you're near one of these locations and looking for a church, we can put you in touch with the lead pastors. Use our contact form or drop us a line on Facebook if you're interested. You can also sign up to be notified if we plan a church plant in your area.
Finally, we would love to see you at our first church-planting conference, Plant!, which will be hosted by Covenant Fellowship Church (Glen Mills, PA), March 24-26. You can get to know one of the speakers, Daniel Montgomery, in the following video where he shares about the connection between the gospel and the church's mission.
